Saturday afternoons from 1-4pm.
Ages - 7 - 19 years old.
Price - £18 per child per Saturday (ask about the sibling discount)
In these three hours students will have a one hour class in each musical theatre discipline. Singing, dancing and drama. They will be split into age groups and classes will rotate. We know some of the students will be shy and hesitant at first but we will do our best to push all students to be the best they can be and to gain confidence in themselves. The performing arts is also a fantastic way of meeting new friends.
The masque theatre offers fantastic rooms for performers. We have a dance room equipped with mirrors and ballet bars, A fantastic drama room and a theatre that can seat up to 200 people. We will use this theatre for our production shows.

Tara Horgan - Principal - Singing Teacher
Tara moved to the UK from Ireland to start pursuing a career in performing arts. She is a graduate from both Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and London School of Musical Theatre (LSMT).
Since graduating she has travelled the world for 10+ years performing in production shows for various companies. She has had the chance to work with well known industry professionals and has performed in front of thousands of people doing what she loves.
She is classically trained from a young age and was awarded an honours in her grade 8 exam from The Royal Irish Academy of Music.
She is now living in Kettering and is teaching singing privately to adults and children as well as cover teaching for various performing arts schools around Northamptonshire. Opening her own performing school for children has always been a dream of hers since she started attending one in Ireland at the age of 8.
She looks forward to teaching the students all she has learnt throughout the years and to invite the parents to watch their kids shine on stage in Synergy's yearly shows.
Sam Walding - Dance Teacher
Sam is from Northampton and has trained in dance since the age of 16.
He learnt to break dance and decided he wanted to take lessons in different styles of dance. He attended Body Work performing arts college and he studied there for four years. He had classes in various styles of dance including jazz, ballet, tap and hip hop.
During his time in college, he worked alongside James Corden and worked for Sky Sports, BBC, Adidas and performed in UK tours. He also travelled to other countries performing in hip hop shows and many more corporate events.
He has performed in well known pantomimes in big theatres such as Epsom play house theatre and Spalding Theatre.
For the past few years he has been working as a dancer on ships and 5* hotels around Asia and Europe.
Sam is currently teaching dance classes to children in various schools around Northamptonshire.
Keith Maddern - Drama Teacher
Keith Maddern – 44 years young
BA Hons in Acting
Keith has been performing now for just over 3 decades, he loves theatre and treading the boards but he's have also done TV and Film.
Highlights are, being directed by Tim Burton in Disney’s live action Dumbo. Performing as Malvolio in Twelfth Night for the RSC, along with parts in The Crown, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Holyoaks.
Other credits include Building the Titanic (Documentary Drama for ITV and the Discovery channel), Parts in “Stan and Ollie” and “The Kings Man”. Stage credits inc Nathen Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Puck in Midsummer night’s dream, Puck in Shakespeare’s Story trail for the Royal and Derngate.
In addition to this he was with “in the Dark – murder mystery theatre company” for a 7 year tenure. He has have been involved in teaching now for around 4 yrs, working with ages 5-55+yrs with highlights being asked to teach at The Royal and Derngate Generate festival and the actors company.
He looks forward to being part of the Synergy Academy team and seeing the kids develop and grow into budding thespians
